There has been a phenomenal growth in hospital services in India in terms of increase in the number of hospitals, doctors , nursing and paramedical staff. Recognizing the importance of hospital service, as an economic service, even the corporate sector is entering into this segment investing huge amount of money and in confirmity with the mindset of the private enterprise. It has become vital to think of effective utilization of this resource, with a view to provide better service to the users and to make a reasonable rate of return on the investment for the investors.
The need for professionally trained hospital managers is being increasingly felt in Iindian hospitals, whether private or public, new or old, large or small metropolitan or not. This is largely due to growing recognition that poerformance levels of hospitals in various managerial and functional areas are falling short of standards that are known to be achievable.
Recognizing this need for excellence in hospital Administration, the Acharya Nagarjuna University in association with N.T.R. University of Health Sciences has developed a Post-graduate M.B.A. in Hospital Administration (MBA HA) to meet international standards of quality in health management education.
Instruction in various subjects shall be provided as per the Scheme of Instruction and syllabi prescribed at NRI Medical College, Chinakakani-522 503.

Intake is limited to 30 seats. 15 seats are reserved for candidates with MBBS. If Medical graduates are not available, their reserved seats will be transferred to general seats.
Tuition fee per year is Rs. 50,000/-.
The course curriculum is spread over four semesters of classroom instruction, practicals, and two months of internship. From second semester onwards there will be residensy programme, three days a week. Some of the subjects offer an in-depth knowledge about the fundamentals of Business Administration with special emphasis on Management Process, Organization behaviour, HRM, Marketing and Financial Management Accounting, Quantitative Methods and Computers in Administration. Some special subjects offer exposure to Hospital Management.
The classroom sessions are designed for thorough understanding of the field of Hospital Management with special emphasis on Hospital Services Planning, Hospital Information System. These courses strenthen functional skills and deepen the understanding of the Multi-dimensional environment in which health care organizations operate. The students are exposed to different types of hospitals selected on the basis of speciality ownership and organizational design.
