Department of Obestetrics and Gynaecology
Obstetrics and Gynaecology are the two surgical specialties dealing with the female reproductive organs, and as such, are often combined to form a single medical specialty and postgraduate training program.
More than 3600 deliveries are conducted annually at NRI GH.
Our students receive broad exposure to various procedures, including abdominal and vaginal hysterectomies, laparoscopic surgeries, ectopic pregnancy, endometriosis, thermal ablation therapy and laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomies apart from diagnostic laparoscopy and hysteroscopy.
Visiting international faculty to our hospital demonstrate modern techniques which help our students to enrich their knowledge to be on par with global standards.
‘Mission India’ is a team of surgeons from the USA who visited our hospital in the year 2009 where students and faculty observed rare gynaecological operations including trans obturator tape for stress incontinence, endometrial ablation for DUB, etc.
